Pendine Sands is a great base for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire and adjacent to a sweeping seven mile beach of the same name, home to a number of land speed record attempts. Tenby is just a short drive away and there is a range of activities on site including live entertainment, swimming and sports.
The Venue family entertainment complex has an indoor swimming pool with water activities, a pub with its own beer garden, nature trail and various groups for kids of all ages. There is also a small supermarket and laundrette, adventure play areas and bingo.
For an action packed day out, visit Oakwood Theme Park for fast moving water rapids and their version of a human catapult - and the Dyfed Shire Horse Farm in Cardigan shows us how traditional farms were run before tractors were invented! Go canoeing at Llandysul, explore the iron age fort at Castell Henylls and taste Welsh wine at the Cwm Deri Vineyard.
