This beautifully kept holiday park has a David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation and some wonderful facilities on site. It is just half a mile from the pretty Victorian town of Shanklin and Alum Bay with its beautiful sands is also close by. Guests have access to the facilities at Lower Hyde where there is an outdoor pool with flume.
The park boasts two heated pools, one indoor and one outdoor, and there is a family friendly licensed club with evening entertainment. There are several play areas for children, paddling pools, children's clubs and a restaurant and takeaway. The park also has a shop and launderette, amusements and bingo.
The Isle of Wight has 60 miles of unspoilt coastline and famously sunny weather so there's lots to do, such as boating, waterspouts, kite surfing, hangliding and skating. There are some breathtaking rides at Blackgang Chine Fantasy Park on the south west of the Island which also has 40 acres of gardens, a maze and some fantastic cliff top walks.
The Landguard Platinum 3 is an outstanding lodge with one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two twin bedrooms, a flat screen tv and dishwasher. A budget option is the Landguard Bronze 2 caravan that sleeps four people in two bedrooms and has additional sleeping for two in the lounge.
