The Cottages at Captain Cook's Haven are set on two levels alongside the River Esk. The area is one of great natural beauty and there is both stunning countryside and wonderful coastline to explore close by. The town of Whitby is just minutes away and has a good choice of shops, pubs and of course the famous fish and chip shops.
Captain Cooks Haven has an excellent range of family friendly facilities including a children's play area and a superb indoor heated swimming pool which provides fun for the whole family. There are several outside BBQ and picnic areas where you can dine alfresco on warm summer evenings whilst enjoying the beautiful views.
The accommodation is of a very high standard and there are several types of cottage and bungalow available. The Cooke's cottage is ideal for families or groups. This amazing three storey house has stunning river views from the lounge and dining room balcony. Ayton Cottage has a unique upside down design with living accommodation upstairs to take advantage of the views and one double and one twin bedroom downstairs. Resolution Bungalow has two bedrooms and a large living/dining area as well as well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. There are many other types of accommodation also available.
