Set in the midst of the Duddon Estuary, Port Haverigg has breathtaking views and plenty of places to walk, cycle or just relax. It has its own 200 acre lake, where sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and trout fishing are available and there are beaches and sand dunes within easy walking distance.
A mile away from the park, guests can swim in an indoor heated pool and there is also a bar and restaurant is open from March to October. The nearby towns and villages have plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from - try Rothay Manor in Ambleside, an elegant country hotel in the heart of the Lake District.
The Cumbrian landscape is simply beautiful - with long sandy beaches, clear blue lakes and amazing mountain views. Muncaster Castle in Revenglass is now open to the public with its gardens, maze and owl centre and there are watersports at Windermere and Carnforth and golfing at Silverdale.
