Pooley Bridge is in a stunning location at the head of Ullswater lake, on the eastern fringes of the Lake District, and well situated for walking, cycling, fishing, sailing, sightseeing - or simply relaxing. Take the short walk to Ullswater for a cruise and enjoy the many facilities and activities on offer in the surrounding area.
The park has a children's play area and shop, and the local amenities at Pooley Bridge are within walking distance. At Penrith, the Rheged Visitor Centre has seven levels of shops and restaurants and a six storey cinema and Keswick is an extremely popular destination for climbers and walkers.
There is a huge range of things to do in the area - from traditional seaside entertainments to extreme watersports along the coast and on the lakes themselves. A cruise along Lake Windermere on a steamer boat, a llama trek or a visit to the Wordsworth Museum in Grasmere - there's something for everyone in the Lake District!
Meadow Bank Cottage is a lovely one storey cottage with amazing views over Ullswater. The Hillcroft Lodge sleeps four people and is a luxury lodge with one double and one twin bedroom. The site is immaculately maintained and the accommodation is extremely comfortable.
