A nature lover's paradise, Chapel Farm is well situated for walking and sightseeing. It's within travelling distance of Appleby and Kendall and the Pennine Way is also within easy reach. There are many historic towns close by and the Settle to Carlisle railway from Kirby Stephen takes you through some wonderful scenery.
There are local villages with some great pubs and amenities - and the park is surrounded by lovely places to walk. Windermere is about 30 minutes away and Westmorland in Kendal is a superb shopping centre. If you choose to venture further afield, a trip to Ingleborough Cave in Clapham will give you a fascinating insight into the underground rock formations.
Eaves Wood at Silverdale is a National Trust wood with open glades and hazel coppices and there are spectacular views across to Morecambe Bay. Rheged at Penrith has a giant cinema, a children's play centre and an international mountaineering exhibition as well as great shops and food outlets.
Chapel Caravan is a luxurious caravan that sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms with extra sleeping space for 2 in the lounge area. Asby and Appleby also sleep 6 people and all caravans have well equipped kitchens with microwaves, TV and showers.
