There are some delightful rural walks and the Stable Bar and restaurant has a wide selection of fine Scottish malt whiskies.
There is table tennis, a games room, a children's playground, shop and launderette. A few miles away, you have an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants, such as Clippers Indian Restaurant in Peniculk and the Laffin Duck in Haddington, an idyllic location on the River Tyne.
In Edinburgh, you can explore the Royal Yacht Britannia, visit Edinburgh Zoo, Scotland's largest wildlife attraction - and head for the Butterfly and Insect World to watch the snakes being fed. The Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick is a five star, multi-award winning wildlife visitor attraction and the family park at East Links is a great day out for the whole family.
