In the heart of the Lake District, Lakeland sits within amazing scenery and has a wealth of facilities, both on site and in the surrounding areas. It is a Hoseasons specially selected active break location and close to Ambleside, Bowness and the Victorian seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands.
The site has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a nine holde golf course, tennis courts, a pitch and putt green, pool tables, kart hire, trampolining, archery, fencing and tennis and football coaching. There is a SplashZone activities programme, an entertainment venue with shows and discos and a shop and launderette.
The Revenglass narrow gauge railway is a fun way to see the outstanding landscape and the Wordsworth Museum in Grasmere and Beatrix Potter's farmhouse in Sawrey are great days out. You can find out how Barrow in Furness grew into the biggest iron and steel capital in the world at the Dock Museum and take a guided tour into the Honister Slate Mine in Keswick.
The Lakeland Superior 3 sleeps six people in three bedrooms and has additional sleeping for two in the lounge area. The Lakeland Prestige 3 is a super luxury 12ft caravan with one double, two twin bedrooms, a DVD player, microwave and additional heating in the bedrooms.
