Set within a 10 acre valley, full of flora and fauna, and close to orchards, woodland and idyllic countryside, Avallon has a whole range of facilities and is perfectly situated for exploring Cornwall. The park is 12 miles from the beautiful 700 year old harbour at Port Isaac and within easy travelling distance of Tintagel.
Avallon is an anglers' paradise with its own private, well stocked fishing lake, There is loads to do without leaving the park, including clay pigeon shooting, table tennis, pool, darts and plenty of walking and cycling and places to picnic. However, there are a number of beaches within driving distance, perfect for lazy days by the sea.
The Winsford Walled Garden at Halwill Junction has magnificent Victorian greenhouses that are often thought of as the best in South West England. You can go gliding at Dartmoor, hot air ballooning over Bodmin Moor at Liskeard and sailing and surfing at Plymouth. And of course, North Cornwall is noted for its wonderful walks and cycle paths.
Avallon Lodge 4 is a pine lodge with one double bedroom and one twin, a widescreen tv and dvd player and selected satellite channels. It is suitable for parties with partially disabled visitors. Chestnut Premier is a superb lodge with one double room and one single bed, a dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
