Magnificent scenery, wooded hills and a multitude of outdoor activities are all here for the taking at this Go Active Break location. Set on the shores of Loch Oich and Loch Lochy, the park offers watersports, skiing, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking and fishing as well as swimming and archery.
Great Glen has an indoor heated swimming pool and a half size tennis court. There is white water rafting, snorkelling, fencing, paintballing, canoeing, kayaking and Petanque - and adventurous guests can try their hand at 4x4 driving. The park also has a children's play area and gymnastics for the under 6s, a sauna, solarium and Jacuzzi.
Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, has a fascinating Gothic cathedral and many good shops and restaurants. Urquhart Castle overlooks Loch Ness and is steeped in history, having played a significant role in both Edward I's reign and Robert the Bruce's. At the Loch Ness Monster Centre, you can examine the evidence and decide for yourself whether Nessie exists or not!
