Take a trip from Inverness harbour out onto Moray Firth where you'll have a good chance of seeing bottlenose dolphins, grey seals and porpoise. The Highland Folk Museum in Kinggussie gives a fascinating insight into the way life was lived in the Highlands over the past three centuries and there is an excellent choice of eating places in Inverness, such as the Contrast Brasserie with its international menu and relaxed atmosphere.
