These Scandinavian style lodges are set within pine forests and moorland, surrounded by 27 miles of coastline which offer a range of water based activities. A Hoseasons active break location, Leaplish Waterside Park has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation and is within easy travelling distance of Jedburgh and Hexham.
The views across the lake and the surrounding countryside are beautiful and there are some delightful walks and cycle paths close by, not to mention boat hire and lake cruises. The park has a Birds of Prey Centre, an indoor heated pool, a synthetic skating rink and bank and boat fishing - and the Boat Inn restaurant and bar is a great place to relax with a bite to eat and a drink.
Wilton Lodge Park in Roxburghshire is a great place to visit with its formal gardens, lovely tree lined walks, waterfall and museum. You can buy the finest quality knitwear at Hawick Cashmere of Scotland and jump on a steam train at the South Tynedale Railway at Alston. The Nightjar at Jedburgh is a cosy bistro with an ever-changing menu of tasty, freshly cooked food.
The Tynedale Classic is a lodge with one double and two twin rooms, a family bathroom with spa bath and an additional shower room. Redesdale Comfort sleeps five people in three bedrooms and has a bath with overhead shower. Some lodges have wheelchair access.
