These secluded lodges nestle in 25 acres of woodland at the entrance to Bulworthy Forest. Within easy travelling distance of Bideford, Barnstaple and Torrington and just five miles from a delightful sandy beach, the park has five well stocked fishing lakes, full of carp and perfect for coarse fishing.
There are some lovely, leisurely rambles around the woods which are home to an abundance of wildlife - and a local pub within four miles. The park does have some steep gradients and steps so isn't suitable for wheelchair users or people with severe mobility issues. Bideford with its shopping centre and other amenities is just under 4 miles away.
Appledore is a picturesque little fishing village and The Quay Gallery and Restaurant sits on the waterfront with beautiful views over the Taw and Torridge estuaries. If you love cycling, the Coast to Coast is mainly traffic free and links Ilfracombe on the North coast with Plymouth on the South coast with some splendid views of beaches, valleys and moorlands.
Oakapple is a lovely timber lodge set in an elevated position with views over the lake. It sleeps six people in three bedrooms and has a lounge with French windows to a patio area with an outdoor hot tub. Fishers Wood is the budget option, set by the lake with one double and one twin bedroom.
