It's an ideal touring base for the 'Garden of England', with its many beaches, historic towns and attractions - and extremely convenient for taking a day trip to France from Ashford, Dover or Folkestone.
Eversleigh has an indoor heated swimming pool and there is table tennis, some lovely gardens and a children's grassed play area. The Fish Café in nearby Rye offers two dining experiences - a bright minimalist café on the ground floor or the more formal restaurant upstairs - both with freshly caught fish as a speciality.
Groombridge House at Tunbridge Wells has history that dates back to the 17th century and is surrounded by acres of parkland with a formal walled garden. Fore Wood in Crowhurst is a great place to spot woodland birds, including spotted flycatchers and the great lesser spotted woodpeckers. Canterbury and Hastings offer superb shopping.
The Eversleigh Lodge is a spacious, beautifully furnished lodge with one double and one twin bedroom and electric panel heating throughout. All lodges have barbecues and garden furniture and tvs with selected satellite channels and are completely non-smoking.
