This small park is close to the village of Longnor, and ideally situated for exploring the Peak District National Park. It is just six miles from Leek, a town renowned for its interesting, independent shops, antiques and great eating places.
The site has outdoor badminton courts, boules, a putting green and a shop. A little further afield, you can fish at Danebridge Fisheries, glide at the Derbyshire & Lancashire Gliding Club, sail and play golf at Ashbourne and paraglide at High Peak. There are also some delightful gardens to visit - The Pavilion Gardens at Buxton have recently been fabulously landscaped.
The Peak District is excellent for cycling enthusiasts. The Parsley Hay Trail has over 30 miles of traffic-free cycling through the limestone scenery and there are some amazing river valleys along the Waterhouses Trail just a few miles away. At High Peak Estate in Hope Valley, you can visit one of the oldest lead mines in Derbyshire.
Hawthorne and Kale are luxury lodges for four people, and both have a private outdoor hot tub. All the lodges have large verandahs with garden furniture. Longnor Caravan sleeps two to four people and has a tv with selected Freeview channels and a dvd player.
