Right next to the beautiful beach at St Bees, surrounded by Cumbrian countryside, Seacote Park is home to an RSPB bird sanctuary in the cliffs and there is a nine hole golf course close by. St Bees itself is a delightful village and the Lake District is just six miles away with Whitehaven and Cockermouth both within easy driving distance.
There are local shops in St Bees and indoor swimming pools nearby at Egremont and Whitehaven. On site, there is a hotel bar and restaurant with occasional evening family entertainment. Along the coast and on the lakes, you'll find watersport centres and extreme sports and there are relaxing (and challenging) walks to be had in Coniston, Grasmere and Ambleside.
The Mirehouse and Gardens at Keswick have a wildflower meadow, a walled garden and a maze and is a great place for birdwatching. The Jumble Room at Grasmere is a friendly place that serves superb food and the Castle Restaurant at Kirkcudbright has impressive castle views.
The Seacote Puffin sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms and is suitable for parties with partially disabled visitors. The Sandpiper sleeps 6 people and all the caravans have TVs and well equipped kitchens with microwaves.
