A break at one of the single-storey cottages in the heart of the Carmarthenshire countryside will give you a peaceful base for exploring the West Wales peninsula - Tenby, the Brecon Beacons, the Pembrokeshire Coastal path and the Millennium Coastal Park are all within easy reach, as is the Gwilli Steam Railway and Oakwood Theme Park.
Avalon Cottages are within easy driving distance from a number of good restaurants, shops and food outlets and there are some excellent walks right on your doorstep. The Carmarthenshire landscape is diverse - fertile woodland meets sandy beaches and it's all completely accessible from your holiday cottage.
For a great day's entertainment, you can pan for gold at the Roman gold mines at Dolaucothi. In Narberth, at the Cwm Deri Vineyard and Estate you can see how the wine is made and indulge in a spot of wine-tasting. The farmers' markets in Haverfordwest and Fishguard sell locally sourced, fresh produce and are excellent for a bit of browsing.
The views from Avalon Cottages are stunning and each cottage is beautifully furnished and equipped with TV, DVD player and private sauna. Oak Cottage has three bedrooms and two shower rooms, while Willow accommodates 2 adults. There is full wheelchair access and all cottages have a private terrace with garden furniture.
